My name is Tim Bograkos, I am a former basketball player at Michigan State University and currently the Young Alumni coordinator for the Michigan State Alumni Association.
Between 2000-2005 I was a student at Michigan State and member of the MSU basketball team, I made my name as a hustler on the court and someone who gave everything they had for his teammates. I was fortunate to win a big ten championship and go to 2 final fours during my time at Michigan State.
After graduation I took the next 2 years to chase my dream of playing professional basketball. I spent time in both Greece and Finland before I decided it was time to retire and get into the work force. Thanks to one of my mentors Mark Hollis the Athletic Director at MSU I was given the opportunity to take an internship at MSU in the athletic department. Over the next year and a half I worked in both the Sports Marketing and Athletic Development offices.
About a year ago I took my current position with the Michigan State Alumni Association,

Tim – As an MSU alumni, I enjoyed redaing your 6th man option piece. I watched that game on TV and remember the shot you made. As an FYI – I played high school football and baseball against your father. Alas, I am a Flint Northern Viking, class of 1968. I will check back again to read additional pieces. Good work.

Tim,
Awesome to read your reflections about the memories that have shaped your young life.
You always have had a sophisticated outlook on life.
Your ability to communicate with “masses” of people is your greatest gift.
Proud to know you and your family. Say hi
to the grandparents, parents and sister.

Hey Tim,
I’m a big fan of yours. I really enjoyed watching you play at MSU and seeing that you gave your all everytime you hit the court. I wish more athletes would play with 1/2 as much heart as you did. I live in Chicago and would love to get involved with gowing the MSU Alumni Assoc here. Not sure what I can do but I would love to help out in any way possible. I’m gald to hear that you’re still very active with the university. You’re a great ambassador for our school. Please let me know what I can do to help.
Thanks,
Chris Bauer

Tim,
I am not an alum of MSU, but I had dreams of attending. I just happened upon your blog. Your blog has not only given me motivation in life, but I’m sure there are others that you have touched. Continue to do great things!

Andrew- your comment means a lot to me. I appreciate you checking it out and commenting but more so the service you are giving to our country. You and your fellow soldiers are the true mean of selfish giving and serve as a motivation to many. Thank you for all that you do and if I can ever help you out in anyway please don’t hesitate to ask. Here is my email address bograko2@msu.edu
