This came from a group text message I was in with three of my best friends.  One of them had a presentation to a group of graduating high school seniors and we all started throwing out advice for them.  These are listed in no particular order and you my totally disagree with some of them.  Enjoy and share!

  1. Learn by Listening and Observing.
  2. Ask Questions.
  3. Professional and Personal Advisory Council
  4. Turn Networking into Relationships

Get Involved

  1. Community.
  2. Volunteer.
  3. Internships.

Embrace Challenges

  1. Prepare for Success and Failure
  2. Obstacles = Opportunities.
  3. Resistance = Persistence. 

Don’t Stay In Your Comfort Zone

  1. Control vs. Uncontrollable.
  2. Outwork Others. 

Find Your Passion

  1. “Great Work Comes From Loving What You Do.”

Utilize Resources

  1. Institution.
  2. Professors. 
  3. Supervisors.

Set Goals

  2. Performance Checks.

  1. Represent Yourself Well
